For DIYers who routinely take advantage of the 5% discount or who want to pay off a project over time and are confident they can make their payments on time, the card is a terrific alternative. The card is only worthwhile, though, if you can afford to pay the entire amount due each month and don't have to pay the normal APR on any of your purchases.
