My game keeps crashing whenever a battle begins. Instead of the screen blacking out and going on to the battle screen as per normal, it crashes and gives me this error.

Script 'MOG_Transition_EX' line 174: NoMethodError occurred.
undefined method `between?' for nil:NilClass

Yet another of my friends says he plays the game just fine. What's going on? D:

is it a save file that you transferred from older version?

I have a similar error. When a battle starts, the screen goes black, the music starts, but then, a message pop-up, and is the following:

undefined method `[]=' for nil:NilClass

I started playing with 1.986 (the saving is from said version), and it kept crashing with both 1.987 and 1.988. This means that since 1.987 we need to make a new game?

EDIT: In a new game, i can go into battle without any problem.

yes.... a new game save is needed.

I'll mention as well that back on version 1.73 back when I just began playing this game the same exact error happened right at the beginning of the game part way through the first over world area when you only had Twilight Sparkle. The problem has not occurred since, but it was on a new game.

Also it happened while I was live streaming, was kind of sad because I didn't even save once. So I ended up speed hacking to get back to where I was faster... 1.5 speed is much better imo. >~> <~<

or it is just a time modification program?
