Hey Guys,
I live with my husband in Canada. I have a 24-year-old son who is bedridden. He was studying in the U.S when he met with an accident. He is a great gambler and was a regular visitor to many casinos in the U.S. Even though he used to get prizes, 30% of the money was deducted as tax, and only the rest was given to him. But now, we need money to continue his treatment. Recently, some of his U.S friends contacted us, and they told us regarding the tax refund law.
We plan to consult a U.S tax recovery service soon. But we are not sure whether it is applicable to Canadian citizens. Does anyone here know about tax rebate procedures?
Thanks!
