Step stool for the mill
#1
I started with some junk steel that Yamaha used for their ATV shipping. The dimensions are about 1 inch by two rectangular material
about .050 inch thick. I practiced up using my TIG welder[Image: 400644-ce3cf93fba99cbc1fa9f90edccf76384.jpg] and managed to contaminate the tip a number of times. Above is the material I cut up to make the stool.

I think it will be a lot better than the old wood stool I was using since this one is stepped. I applied some aluminum diamond plate on the
stepping surfaces. It's very stable. I canted the legs in two dimensions for added stability about 5 degrees or so. I will use the old one by
the lathe to reach stuff in the shelves behind it. It's much easier now to reach now to the top of the mill.

Living in a home with stairs can be a mixed bag, can’t it? On the one hand, it gives you a great workout every day. Who needs a gym when you have to climb those stairs to grab a snack? Plus, it can feel super cozy, having separate levels. You get that excellent division between spaces, like a private nook for relaxing.
But let’s be honest, stairs can be a bit of a pain, especially when you’re carrying laundry or groceries. If you want to make things easier, those ladder nz options could help. They have some handy solutions for reaching high places safely. Just keep an eye on the kiddos and pets, too. A little safety goes a long way when you have stairs.
