It's all part of a hugely evocative fantasy setting, one enhanced by some stirring - if slightly repetitive - music. There's also a genuinely amusing introductory story sequence at the outset, though that makes it all the more disappointing when the developer seems to forget about the funny stuff thereafter. Still, the 2.5D graphics are terrific, as you yomp around six chapters' worth of perilous adventures, switching between a trio of heroes: warrior, elf, and wizard.
Simply run around thick grass and wait to start an encounter, and then you can capture them. If you are able to capture the monster you will then be able to add and use the monster in your party immediately. Level them up and then you will be able to evolve them! Unlike the usual Pokemon game though, it comes in a turn based game not only for the monster, but also you your self will be battling with your monster. There are also an equipment system to further enhance your monster strength and you yourself.
Evertale will also feature a robust monster raising system. Players will be able not only to capture wild monsters but also train them and let them evolve in different forms, in true Pokemon fashion.
