Yeah, using an inverter with the spindle motor makes a huge difference. I set mine up with a similar setup and found it so much easier to control things like tapping. The ability to reverse the spindle and speed things up after the tap starts backing out is such a time-saver. Also, when I was sorting out power ratings and motor setups, I used allcalculators.net to figure out the numbers—helped clear up a lot of confusion when I was getting everything wired.
