Stock Market Analysis: 02/24/11
#1
I have added 3 additions to the picks at the end of 2008. They are at the end of this post. In each individual post the differences will be pointed out. Post split, shares sometimes rally as well so there is opportunity there to turn a fast buck. A profit down from last year nonetheless but a result that shows promise for better to come and a well managed business in very troubled times. Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX): It yields 5.93%. They have a strong balance sheet and Cramer thinks the company will do well under the Biden administration as it will be difficult to acquire new wells, making the existing ones more valuable. The New Zealand boutiques market has lost around 10% off its mid April 2010 peak to finish at 3047 on the Top 50 Gross Index last Friday and as night follows day it always follows the fortunes and misfortunes of its much bigger brother across the Pacific and then a few thousand miles more.

Burger Fuel isn't one of those solid stocks you would buy and not expect to lose money, it is purely speculative and high risk but if you have, like me , been watching the trials and tribulations of this company over the last 2 years, and thinking about buying some, now would be the opportune time to start thinking about it. Resistance is now located up around $282. The next major resistance level for Bank of America is located at $17.19. Ryman Healthcare was my second pick and one again its long-term prospects was the main reason I included it in my 2009 picks and in my long-term portfolio. I would include all my December 17 2008 picks on share price weakness and would include the following. If you are keen to make some fast moola there should be more to be made before the record date for the share split on Monday 21 December 2009 .

The share split is an attempt by the NZX to get more mum and dad investors on their share register as the bulk of shareholders are currently brokers -who used to privately own the company - and those on the "inside" of the stockmarket industry. This was a new way to invest and a way for the rich to get richer. Looking deeper, technical analysis also makes an excellent way to read and analyze true trader sentiment about a particular stock, because stock prices also go up or down, depending on the number of traders who want to buy or sell it. This is the second time the stock has split since its 2003 listing. I personally like FAS stock closer to $8 where I would be a buyer. A capital raise will put short term pressure on the stock but will be great for the long term. Its in good financial shape but under short-term pressure from a sales slowdown.

Bad if you bought at the peak of the buying frenzy over the last year but good if you are the patient little tortoise just peeking out from under your shell again. How has it done in the last 3 months? 15% in the last 3 months . If you buy some stocks today, in a few months the same stocks will give you a high percentage of profit upon selling. There is little interest in and few buyers lined up as at market close on Friday 19, with the first cab off the rank offering 10c a share and the lowest 1c - the lowest ever bids for this stock, so a clear opportunity exists. Let's talk a little more about few more upsides and benefits of online stock trading via a company's website. stock of the Week list. Sky City ended unchanged on 518 with possible bidders expected to show their hands early next week. Buy good quality and the best buys are often stocks you are already holding in your portfolio that have perhaps dropped below your initial buy price. At 32c it is roughly a third of its $1 IPO price. IPO and incurred big but dwindling losses along the way.
