What kind of information can be published on Wikipedia?
#1
The type of content that appears on Wikipedia is governed by a set of rules. Certain standards apply to Wikipedia articles. Even if you, your school, or your boss owns another website, do not exploit its content. If you do Wikipedia article writing with only a rudimentary understanding of Wikipedia's standards, be warned that other editors may remove it if it is deemed inappropriate. To be clear, everything that has been added to Wikipedia has to be a freshly written, concise account of a topic. Even if I published an article for another website, I couldn't just copy and paste it into Wikipedia. I can credit a little section of an article, but the majority of it must be a new copy.
